With the sun shining more brighter than ever, the only thing on anyone’s mind (and arguably so) is how to enjoy each weekend and make the most out of your free time here in Valencia. This week, we thought it was only fair to base our blog on how you can enjoy the city with some cool and original plans for the upcoming weeks.

Our blog will help you break away from doing the same, repetitive things and let you really explore and enjoy what the city can offer! Keep reading to find out how you can enjoy April to the max with a list of our top plans and recommendations.

The Munich Market: For the fashion lovers

If you’re into fashion and style then this event will make you go crazy! The Munich Mercat is a famous pop up store that is located in the neighbourhood «Ruzafa». Not only does it allow visitors to explore and purchase the latest trends at a phenomenal price, but this year it will also present innovative textile collection divided into two lines: streetstyle and lifestyle. The first, characterized by its comfort and urban style, is inspired by street graffiti culture. Meanwhile, the second line offers more elegant and sophisticated garments, ideal for those looking for a touch of class in their wardrobe.

Even so, the best thing about this event is the footwear exhibition, which is gaining popularity each year and here is the reason why: it offers discounts of up to 70% on a selection of more than 25,000 sneakers. Crazy right? It’s definitely something not to miss this month!

The market runs from the 12th of April to the 21st and is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Although admission is free, it is recommended to reserve in advance as it does get quite busy! Don’t waste anymore time and grab your place!

Free concerts: Open air music

The sun always brings great vibes to any city and Valencia always treats its residents and tourists to a number of free, open air concerts during the warmer months. This event, which has become a prominent event in the city’s cultural calendar, offers a wide range of musical styles, from jazz to flamenco, electronic, folk, funk and much more. Basically, there is something for everyone! What more could you want?

As well as a great variety of music, this event also offers you the chance to meet and converse with a variety of different people! With students from more than 50 countries, it is also a celebration of the cultural and musical diversity that characterizes València. Furthermore, cultural accessibility is a fundamental pillar of this project, since all concerts are free and do not require ticket reservations. The cycle of events extends to the months of May, July, September and October, providing multiple opportunities to enjoy live music during spring and summer in Valencia.

Starting from the 11th of April, these open-air concerts will be held on the Paseo Norte of the Príncipe Felipe Museum of Sciences, within the impressive complex of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. Make a day of it and experience an unforgettable musical experience in one of the most beautiful places in Valencia!

Flash plans not to miss this month!

  • A funky exhibition: Visit the exposition «Prospectiva» by Felipe Pantone in one of the most interesting and fascinating museums in the whole of Valencia, the CCCC. The exhibition, available until the 14th of April, shows all new creations and pieces from the artists first exhibition. A journey through its visual, colorful and kinetic language.

  • The return of the Medieval market: Take a visit to the city’s promenade, Cabanyal beach, and take a look at the colorful medieval fair, where merchants and artisans will offer their products in authentic craft stalls, as well as music, dance, an Arab souk and a varied market that will delight attendees with its medieval charm.

  • Go back in time: Experience a day full of nostalgia and passion for classic vehicles at Mon the fifth edition of Moncada, a large exhibition of cars and motorcycles that are more than 30 years old, with some even going back to 70 years old. It’s just a day event on the 14th of April so make sure not to miss it!

So there you have it! These are the plans and activities that will keep you busy for the most part of April, but it doesn’t stop there as May will be even more exciting as we make our way into the summer months.
