FAQs

Where is the EUROACE Spanish School?

Our EUROACE school is located in central Valencia, between Colón underground station and Xàtiva underground station. Our address is Calle Colón 18, 7A. Here’s a look at our exact location here. (link to google maps).

What facilities do you have at EUROACE?

Our Language School provides free unlimited internet access for all students, an open study area, a chill out area (sofa and desks), and a rooftop terrace with outdoor seating and a nice view!

We also have a library of books, audiovisual materials and DVDs for learning. Our classrooms are all well equipped, very bright with lots of natural light and all air-conditioned / heated depending on the season!

What are your opening hours?

Spanish classes run from 9am in the morning until 7pm in the evening. Our office officially opens at 8:30am and we close at 7pm, once the final class has finished. Reception hours are from 8:30am to 7pm.

Is it easy to meet locals and Spanish speakers?

Every Thursday we organize a free language exchange activity where students and interns can practice their Spanish skills with locals and Spanish speakers, and can also meet other internationals too. If you really want to get to know local life and culture, a host family is the perfect choice.

Are your teachers native speakers?

Yes, all our teachers are native – Spaniard – speakers, educated to degree level and trained to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language.

Can I start at any time?

Yes, you can start your course at any time of the year. We ask that all new students begin their program on a Monday to facilitate course integration.

How long do courses last?

Students choose the length of their course. If you only have one week, then you can join an intensive group or private Spanish course. If you want to study for many months, this is totally possible and you choose the number of hours of classes per week. Classes run Monday through Friday, not on weekends. Courses can be extended by talking to a member of the EUROACE team.

How do I know which course to join?

Prior to any course we ask the student to take a pre-entry grammar and writing level test. These tests give us a strong indication of your current level and which course is best for you. Of course, each student’s progress varies, so you can be moved up to a higher course if you progress rapidly.

What do I need to bring on my first day?

We provide all the materials you will need during the course. A pen and notebook would be useful so you can make extra notes.

Do I need to buy a book?

No. We provide all the materials you will need during your course.

How many students are in each class and where are the students from?

We stick to a maximum of 10 students per class. We believe this maximizes learning and so we like to teach in small groups. Our students are from all over the world!

How can I check my progress?

You will be tested regularly in class and the teacher will monitor your progress. If you have any questions you can always speak to your Spanish teacher.

What exams does Euroace offer?

Euroace offers exam preparation courses for the DELE examination of all levels. We are not an examination center but we can certainly help you to book an examination centre for an exam.

How long does an internship last?

Your internship duration is up to you. The minimum duration required is one month and the maximum is one year.

Is the internship paid?

No.

When can I start my internship?

You can start your internship any time of the year. Starting on a Monday is usual but we liaise with each internship company individually to check exact start dates and work schedules.

Do I need Spanish during my internships?

No, Spanish is not required but it’s definitely a plus. We have placements available that are exclusively in English, exclusively in Spanish, or a combination of languages.

What type of company or industry will I be working for?

Once we receive your CV/ resumé and a cover letter we match your profile with companies established in your chosen location and surrounding areas. No payment is required until your internship position is confirmed.

What accommodation is best for me?

Most of our students stay in our nearby shared apartments. These are great places to meet other students and be close to our school and your program. However, some students prefer to stay in a homestay to find out more about Spanish culture and to practice their Spanish on a regular basis. Click here for more information on our Accommodation Options. (link to accommodation page).

How far are the homestay providers from Euroace?

Most of our homestay providers are within a 20-minute walk or public transport journey from EUROACE. If you would like to be nearer, please specify your requirements during the application process.

Do I need a visa?

If you are from an EEA country you do not need a visa. For other nationalities visa requirements vary. If you want to check what the requirements for your country are, please ask your local Spanish Embassy.

How do I get a visa?

3 easy steps to apply for a visa:

  1. Ask your local Spanish Embassy
  2. Email us at contact@euroace.net
  3. Once you’re enrolled onto one of our courses (minimum of 20 hours per week required) you will receive an acceptance letter for your VISA application.

Will someone meet me at the airport, train, or bus station when I arrive?

Yes, if you request it in advance. We can arrange for a driver to come and pick you up at the airport, train or bus station and take you directly to your accommodation. For price details please contact us. (link to contact page)

How do I make sure I’m covered?

EUROACE strongly advises all students to organise their own travel and medical insurance. We can process any insurance for you too.

Can I use my mobile phone in Spain?

Yes, if you have a GSM phone. Speak to your service provider for more information. Some students decide to by a SIM card in Europe with a simple phone plan and use this during their travels.

What’s the weather like in Valencia?

Marvellous! The sun is shining constantly and we have mild winters and warm summers. Make sure you bring your sun cream (May-September) as temperatures can reach up to 35º Celsius.

What is it like living in Valencia?

Living in Valencia is cheaper than living in other Mediterranean cities like Barcelona or Rome. Public transportation is good not to mention it’s a very walkable/bike-able city.

Valencia is also a very safe city, you’ll have no problems walking alone or going out at night. It’s also quite international and there are lots of international students here.

What are my payment options?

You can pay for your program via bank transfer, all details provided by a EUROACE Advisor. Other payments methods include cash or credit card at our EUROACE head office in Valencia.
