CCCCinema d’Estiu: Cinema in a 13th-Century Monastery
The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC) is a former 13th-century convent turned contemporary art museum, and every summer it sets up a big screen inside its open-air Gothic monastery: stone arches, a warm night, and a crowd that’s there for the atmosphere as much as the film.
The 2026 program: Embriagados de Humor. América y la comedia, 27 American comedies spanning the 1920s to recent releases, shown in Spanish subtitles (or original Spanish audio for Latin American titles).

Organized by the Generalitat, La Filmoteca d’Estiu takes over the Jardines del Palau, the gardens around the Palau de la Música, inside Turia Park. Expect a massive screen, hundreds of chairs on the esplanade, and a crowd that shows up early to eat or drink first.
The 2026 program: split between Un río de cine (classics where a river is central to the plot, like Apocalypse Now) and Top Crítica (the most acclaimed festival films of the past year).
