What Is the Feria de Julio?
First things first, let’s start with the basics. Fallas isn’t the only exciting thing Valencia has to offer, there are so many interesting things happening all the time, and the Feria de Julio has been a thing since long, long ago.
It’s been bringing something unique to Valencia since 1871, when the city created it to keep people from leaving during the hot summer months. Instead of escaping the heat, locals and tourists now celebrate it with a full calendar of events — from concerts and fireworks to street performances and traditional celebrations.

Saturday, July 26 – “Correfoc” and Fireworks by Global Foc

The “Correfoc” (fire-run, literally) is a traditional Valencian spectacle where performers dressed as devils run through the streets with firecrackers, drums, and music. It’s pretty thrilling, as long as you don’t find yourself in the middle of the procession (kidding! ¡Es broma!).
