Ronak recently completed an intership organised by Euroace in software development in a tech company here in Valencia. We asked him some questions to get an insight into his internship with us!
How would you describe your overall internship experience?
Honestly, it’s been incredible. I feel really lucky to have been placed with such a supportive team. I’ve made great connections with my coworkers, and it’s been amazing to experience my host city not just as a visitor, but as someone working and living here like a local.
What did you like the most?
I loved getting to work on a project that actually has a real impact. It felt meaningful to contribute to something that will continue to be used after I leave.
Did you face any challenges? How did you overcome them?
Definitely—especially on the technical side at the beginning. But my boss took the time to guide me, and I put in extra hours on my own to keep learning. Little by little, I started to see my vision for the project come together, and that was super rewarding.
Did the internship contribute to your professional development?
Absolutely. This experience has helped me feel more prepared and confident about entering the workforce in my chosen field.
Did you acquire new skills?
Yes! I learned how to develop and deploy a full inventory management system using NestJS, Angular, and MongoDB, tools I’d only touched before, but now I feel really comfortable with.
Did you like the work environment?
I really did. There’s a great balance between work and personal time, when the workday ends, it actually ends. But during the day, I loved that I could contribute to something meaningful and be part of a team effort.
Was the language barrier much of a challenge?
Not at all! Everyone at my company speaks English, so communication was smooth from day one.
Did the program meet your expectations?
It went beyond what I expected, in the best way. I came in hoping to learn and grow, and I did that and so much more.
Any advice for future interns in this program?
Keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to connect with your coworkers. Your experience will be what you make of it, so take initiative, ask questions, and embrace the opportunity.
What was the most valuable thing you learned during your time as an intern?
I realized how important planning is in my field. It’s something that sounds obvious, but until now, I hadn’t fully appreciated it or practiced it consistently. This internship really opened my eyes and helped me build better habits that I’ll carry into future roles, including my next internship this summer!
