EUROACE’S Spanish & Volunteer Program
There is no doubt that by now you’ve heard of all the types of programs and experiences that EUROACE offers through our blog posts. From intensive Spanish courses, internships with professional companies and custom programs that let you personalize your whole experience, EUROACE always manages to find something that fits the needs of our individuals.
If you’re looking for a way to give back to society or the community, as well as something that benefits you both professionally and personally, then our Volunteer program is the right fit for you. Here are some questions that might be running around your head, what will I gain from volunteering? or Is it really worth my time? While you are probably aware of the incredible value volunteering provides to society, people in need and important causes, what may be surprising is that the act of volunteering has plenty of benefits for volunteers too.
Our blog this week will explain everything you need to know about our Volunteer program, as well as show you how you can incorporate our Spanish classes into your schedule to make sure you make the most out of every moment!
What can I expect from a Volunteer program with EUROACE?
Our volunteer programs in Valencia are the perfect way for you to get involved with community projects and local organizations that you are passionate about and want to help. We offer our volunteers the chance to work closely with NGO’s to help make a real difference and directly impact the lives of others.
Essentially, our volunteer programs are an experiential learning program that will both help the people around you and offer the chance for personal growth and skill development. Here are just some of the projects and areas you can get involved with:
• Collaborating with local conservation projects and environmental
organizations
• Lending a hand to community service work
• Working with NGO’s to assist the homeless communities
• Teaching and assisting underprivileged children at after school clubs
• Helping out at elderly community residences and health center
We work with a number of Human Rights Organizations so specific volunteer work can be done with organizations and focus directly on your interests and passions. You will be able to embark on their current and future projects and contribute to the success and vision of these groups.
Why should I choose to volunteer program instead of an internship?
As we mentioned above, engaging in volunteer work provides just as much opportunities for personal growth and skill development as internships do. You have the chance to learn new skills, gain valuable experience, and enhance existing talents, all while broadening your perspective and understanding of the world around you. The feeling of giving back to a community and helping those less fortunate is next to none. Not to mention the unique sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing you’ve made a positive impact on the lives of others. What more do you need to know?
Research also shows that volunteering is associated with increased happiness, reduced stress, and improved overall well-being. The physical and mental benefits are also a big advantage! Volunteering tasks often involve physical activity such as walking, building, and setting up and packing down at events. It’s also important to remember that when you volunteer, you demonstrate that everyday kindness, helping others and contributing to your community is an important part of life. Building connections with people from different walks of life is a great way to build empathy, understanding and expand your worldview.
Can I add services to my volunteer program?
Definitely! In fact, this is something that we encourage all of our volunteers to do during their experience. In order to enhance the impact you have during your volunteer period as well as your personal experience while in Valencia, you also have the option to sign up for one of our Spanish language courses, improving your communication abilities and language skills with the communities you are working with.
We offer a range of different Spanish courses, as well as private classes to help you target specific topics, themes and grammar points. Our Spanish classes will also help you build stronger connections and friendships with the people you are doing the program with. Mixing both volunteering and classes will help you meet a range of people from diverse backgrounds who all share a common goal of making a difference. You’ll have the chance to meet like-minded individuals and most importantly, speak to them in their native language, this will only help you to improve both of your work and personal relationships with the communities.
