One-to-one Online Spanish Q&A
Online language courses have risen in popularity over the past 12 months due to global circumstances and that was no different for our EUROACE courses. We have been able to reach students all over the world by simply converting our courses online. Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect from an online Spanish course as we interviewed our online student Anita.

1. How long is your Online Spanish course and have you enjoyed it so far?
I have been learning online for 7 months so far. I’m having tailor made private lessons and enjoying every minute of it! It fits in with my schedule and makes learning Spanish part of my daily routine.
.
2. Do you feel you have improved?
Absolutely! All elements have improved. Oral skills and audio understanding in particular. I’m also getting better at choosing correct tenses and modes. I’ve learnt expressions without which you can’t properly interact with native Spanish speakers. I’m feeling more confident when I need to make a call in Spanish and I actually started using the subjunctive outside of the classes too!
.
3. What’s it like learning Spanish during a pandemic?
I think it’s an ideal time to master a foreign language since I can’t travel. During my classes we discuss literature, movies, food, customs, which for me turned out to be a good alternative to traveling.
.
4. Is the Spanish course what you expected? Have you been surprised by anything?
I was positively surprised by one of the methods used for correcting mistakes. While practicing conversation, my teacher discretely takes notes of my mistakes, she doesn’t interrupt me, and only after I have finished she explains the mistakes and/or suggests better phrasing, adds vocabulary and polishes my phrases to sound native. In just 15 minutes of practice I learn things it would otherwise take several classes to cover.
.
5. Would you recommend EUROACE Spanish school to your friends and to other future students?
Absolutely. I took private classes with Euroace 5 years ago when I spent a month in Valencia. I went from zero level to basic understanding in just 14 classes! When I took classes with a teacher in Slovenia she could not believe I only had 14 classes. Five years later, now I have moved to Valencia, I naturally got in touch with Euroace again to continue learning with them.
.
6. What advice would you give to any future student who wants to take an Online Spanish course?
Always learn with native speakers who are trained and experienced in teaching non-native speakers. It makes a huge difference. I would also say continue learning because Spanish is a gateway to incredibly rich culture and enormous Hispanic world. Literature, movies, art, gastronomy, music, traditions (sometimes bizarre). It opens up a whole new world! I am bilingual myself and can say that a language, its rules and peculiarities tell you a lot about the way one culture thinks.
