Student Interview: Intensive Spanish Course

Thanks to our student Isabel from Montreal, Canada for taking an interview with us about her Intensive Spanish course. She came to Valencia for a 4 week Intensive Spanish program, where she took 20 hours of Spanish classes per week. Here’s what she had to say…

Why did you choose to study Spanish in Valencia?

I came to Valencia, together with my boyfriend to visit his family that lives in Valencia. I really like Valencia, I like the city mood and the culture. One of my favorite places in Valencia is Turia park, I love going for a walk or doing some gym and sports activities in the open air!

Can you tell us a bit more about your experience studying with Euroace?

At first, it was difficult for me to understand and to follow. I took a very intensive program, taking 20 hours of lessons a week, 4 hours a day. But the teachers were very patient with me and they make sure every student actively participates in the class. In a short time, I started understanding more and taking part in the conversations.

It is a great idea to have different teachers giving the classes, it makes the experience of studying much more dynamic and interesting. I am very satisfied that I managed to learn the key grammatical concepts and get an idea about the structure of the language. I also gained confidence to really speak Spanish, as the classes are very interactive, we have discussions on interesting topics and this creates a very friendly atmosphere that motivates everyone to speak.

How do you think your Spanish skills improved after the 4 weeks course?

I improved my Spanish language skills tremendously, now I can read and express myself both in writing and speaking. I am comfortable going out with Spanish people and talking in Spanish, although I still struggle a bit with very profound conversations. A I’m staying with my boyfriend’s family in Valencia, the classes really helped me to enrich my vocabulary and to communicate and understand the conversations we have in the family.

Would you recommend Euroace as a Spanish language school for other students looking to study abroad?

Yes, definitely, I really like Euroace. It is a small school with a very personal approach, very flexible and friendly staff, the price of the lessons is very affordable and I really like the content like blogs and articles available on the Euroace website too. Also, the positive comments on the website regarding past students’ experiences assured me to come and study Spanish here!
