Can’t Miss Events in Valencia this Summer!

There are so many events going on this summer in Valencia, it can be hard to choose. We’ve put together a list of a few things coming up in the next month or so. Stay tuned for more updates!

Cine en las playas: Movies at the beach

When: 4 July – 29 August 2019
Where: Beaches of Valencia

Price: Free entry

Enjoy warm summer nights while watching the newest movies right on the beach! During the months of July and August, 36 movie screenings will take place in 18 coastal municipalities of Valencia on 20 various beaches. From 4 July until 29 August you can choose a movie you would like to see and come to the beach with your own chair or towl. The movies will be screened in Spanish on their particular days at 22:00. You can choose movies such as Champions, Tad Jones: The Hero Returns or Hotel Transylvania 3.

A Lake of Concerts: Live Music in City of Arts and Sciences

When: 19, 25 & 26 July

6, 13, 20 & 27 September

Where: Alameda, City of Arts and Sciences and Oceanogràfic

Price: free entry

A Lake of Concerts is a free music festival that presents student bands from the Berklee music school. Students and faculty members will set up in front of the Science Museum Príncipe Felipe to offer diverse music styles so that everybody can choose what they like: from jazz, folk and Latin music to rock & roll or electronic music. This event is perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy their time with friends or family in the wonderful City of Arts and Sciences. Come to have a great time during the sunny afternoons!

Van Gogh Alive: A Spectacular Interactive Exhibition

When: 27 July – 20 October

Where: Ateneo Mercantil

Price: Starting at 12 euros

A beautiful multimedia exhibition that brings Van Gogh back to life! The most visited multimedia exhibition in the world includes more than 3000 animated images and visuals in movement accompanied by a high quality music, light and colour. Don’t miss this great opportunity to see one of Van Gogh’s finest works, The Starry Night, as well as several of his famous self-portraits. You can visit the exhibition from the end of July almost until the end of October.

XXIII Jazz Festival at the Palau de la Música

When: 26 June – 7 September

Where: Palau de la Música

Price: Free and tickets starting at 3 euros

Another year of the Valencian Jazz Festival will host more than 300 musicians who will perform at the Palau de la Música, located in the beautiful Gardens of Turia. Popular international and national stars including Paquito de Rivera, Madeleine Peroux or Kyle Eastwood (who is a son of the actor Clint Eastwood) and much more, will bring outstanding jazz music to Valencia. Some of the concerts are even for free so it is definitely worth it to go and experience something else even thought you may not be a jazz fan.
