Study abroad destination: Valencia

Valencia is an incredible city located in the east coast of Spain, and it is reknown for combining all the attractions of the the Mediterranean Sea: delicious cuisine, mild temperatures throughout the whole year, long hours of sunshine, friendly and a great vibe around the city.

Valencia perfectly blends the old and the new, the hectic high streets and the relaxing beach, the ‘Barrio del Carmen’ in the city centre with the City of Arts or the brand new Marina area. It is completely flat, making it easy to walk or bike, and it doesn’t matter where you decide to live, access to the beach is easy with public transport: bus, metro and tram will take you to the Malvarrosa Beach, the most popular fine sandy beach with a large promenade that is home to bars, restaurants and sports areas.

The old river Turia runs through the whole city, all the way to the beach. You won’t find much water though as it is now an impressive garden since it flooded in the 1950s. It is actually a beautiful place to take a stoll, filled with parks, cafes, ponds, football pitches, museums and artwork.

Valencia is home to Spanish famous Paella. If you ever want to taste a proper Paella in your life, you must definitely come to Valencia. Living is considerably cheap compared to other big cities in Spain or Europe and flight connections to other major cities such as London, Rome, Paris or Amsterdam are excellent in case you want to travel around Europe.

Don’t think twice and start planning your trip to Valencia. You can study abroad, gain work experience doing an international internship or simply spend quality time helping others with a volunteering program. Contact Euroace and they will help you with anything you may need.
